As a child I spent countless hours in my grandfather's wood shop (a converted basement in the Bronx, New York) watching him hand craft raw wood into amazing works of art. My artistic self blossomed in my early 30's when I began to create unique wood tables. I challenged myself to go farther and set out to perfect one of a kind wood sculptures. While some might consider knots and uneven grain as imperfections, I see their beauty and attempt to accentuate them in my work.
In addition I was blessed to have a mother who was an artist in her own realm, namely painting. My mother's creative talent inspired me to delve into painting as another medium of self expression. My compositions run the gamut from abstract to likenesses.
The rest as they say is history. Today I devote a portion of every day to my craft and look forward to fulfilling my dream of carrying on my grandfather's and my mother's legacy.
